The entry point for this painting was a bouquet of sunflowers. Whenever I felt heartbroken, I would buy at least 5 for a vase I keep in my kitchen. Tall, gorgeous sunflowers. They are the cheeriest flower to me. I learned that they turn towards each other, protecting each other when it rains.
