Warm Cowboy

$1,500.00

Painted shortly before embarking on a move from Colorado to Texas, this painting represents a threshold moment, the moment one crosses from one place to the next. I tell everyone; Austin, Texas is a portal of energy. The city called me there to learn about myself, and ultimately to heal. The first few years in Austin were challenging. I went really deep with myself, excavating old versions, outdated beliefs, and uncovering painful childhood memories. In the last year of my journey there I removed distraction after distraction. I was left with a crystal clear vision of where I was headed in life.

This piece is a portal which asks: who are you becoming?

Mediums Used:
Oil, Ink, and Charcoal on Canvas

Dimensions:
16X20

Year Created:
2021
